This is a fun one if you follow the franchise and don’t take these things too seriously. A bunch of fun set pieces strung together with narrative masking tape. I have fond memories of going to Yonge and Dundas for a private screening. The first weekend it came out it was box office number one for two minutes, which made all us exhausted artists think “Oh no, there’s gonna be another one”, and there was!

Working in the Mr. X pipeline was a revelation of organization and professionalism. The water shader they used for flooding a Moscow was ingenious and very intuitive to adjust. I spent many hours doing just that. Mr. X also gave me the opportunity to flex my matte painting muscles, adding scorches, drop damage and bullet holes. I also set up and rendered a digital set extension for an arctic shot with a submarine sticking out of the ice, which is super cool no arguments.
