This indie animated film is a great example of what can be achieved with a modest budget and truckloads of creativity. Mostly Houdini work here with some Softimage thrown in. I added wing trails to a magic owl, flame to evil wizard’s alchemy experiment and a lot of snow. Most of the snow shots needed the characters matted out in z-depth for compositing and it all had to work in stereo.
